As for age discrimination, how about time discrimination? I didn't get hired at a major the last go around because I didn't have any PIC turbine. How's that for discrimination? Maybe I should file a lawsuit...

If they require an ATP for employment, I don't see it as age discrimination.

There used to be some regionals that required you to be 21 though, and without any other issues, I saw that as close as you could get to age discrimination.

It's not age discrimination. They require you to have an ATP. The FAA requires you to be 23 in order to exercise the privelege of an ATP. Your beef is with the FAA, not Compass.

It's not discrimination, it's just a law that looks bad to those under 23.
Tell that to all those clowns from apaad. Those bozos claimed age discrimination in getting the age raised to 65. Of course they mentioned nothing about discrimination on age 60 when they were moving up the ranks. It wasn't until they got their left seat of the 400 or 777 that they came up with the idea that Age 60 was a discriminatory practice.

Qualifications for job: ATP Mins

Question: Do you meet ATP mins?

Answer: No.

Conclusion: Go build your age hours.

I'm at 3500tt, 2500 multi, 1500 PIC with 500 Turbine 121 PIC and an ATP.

I filled out the online app on 11/3/09. I tried calling their HQ to get the name of the pilot recruiter so I didn't have to do "To whom it may concern" on my cover letter, but the operator was very insistent on not giving out the name. So I looked on the website and found the CP's name and addressed it to him.

Any info on the call back process.
Compass is really bad at getting back to people. When I applied I constantly called and emailed them until I got my interview. It pays to be persistant with Compass good luck!

So if 40 is the cut off for age discrimination (as seen by the law) how is ATC allowed to cut off entry at age 31? Sounds like ageism. Where's Jackie Chiles?!
