Default Compass or Endeavor???

I'm going to give this a try in hopes that lame arguments don't break out.

Any CONSTRUCTIVE direction to picking one over the other?
End goal: get hired on by a major asap.
Would like to be based in MSP until heading to a major.

Thanks in advance

We all want to get hired at a major ASAP, so what makes you more qualified than us? What's your background? Are you military looking to build 121 experience before mama D calls? Or are you a fresh ATP with 1500hrs under their belt?

If you really want MSP, I might go for Endeavor. But that's based solely on QOL.

As far as getting to the majors faster, volunteer as much as you can outside of flying. Habitat, pilots for kids, etc. Seems like all the recruiters I've talked to love that stuff.

Where will you get your TPIC at quicker (if you don't already have that box checked). I know a lot of guys say that TPIC "isn't what it used to be", and that may be true, but it is still a huge leg up for whatever your next step may be.

With endeavor you will get msp right out of training, and if you don't it will be only a few months. With the amount of hiring that we are doing you will move to a line quickly this fall.
If you would like some info send me a pm.

Compass is closing DTW and opening SEA. They are shifting out West. That likely means many of the former DTW pilots will bid MSP, at least at first, meaning a new hire will be heading to the West coast with a pretty good wait to get to MSP, then rinse and repeat for upgrade.

At Endeavor, on the FO side, MSP will likely be much quicker for a new hire. For captain upgrade, it's likely going to be a while as that is the base with the most lifer captains, followed closely by DTW. The fastest upgrade is and probably will be for some time, in New York.

Endeavor also has the retention bonuses...yet Compass will likely have the faster upgrade for awhile. Ya have to decide what is best for your situation. Do you want to be home based? Or do you want the left seat faster? I personally would chose preferred basing and QOL myself as it makes reserve even...not so bad.

At compass you will hold MSP before you finish training. Currently a lot of the guys getting hired want the west coast bases. DTW has only 18 FOs, half of them can hold CA. That wont hurt your chances of getting MSP. 80% of the flows leaving this year are MSP CA, their will be a lot of movement for msp.

At Endeavor, they are still sending 20 crj 200s to the desert this summer, they are only in MSP and DTW. They may come back later this year and they may not, nobody knows yet. A lot of the junior guys that have been at Endeavor over a year are still trying to get out of NYC.

The only people still trying to get out of NYC now are either captains or pretty much new hires
