Having your strobes on while taxiing is a safety issue? Isn't that a bit dramatic?

Mr. Hurt-feelings, the person you quoted doesn't work for Skywest.

You guys should realize you're all on the same team. It's kind of ridiculous when regional pilots call out the pilots of other regionals. Guess what? You will be sim partners together at Delta or United soon. He will be the guy who has the trip you want to swap into. Instead of wasting your energy complaining about what lights should or should not be on during taxi, go and do something productive to get yourself out of the regionals as soon as possible. I'd recommend obtaining a bit more maturity and integrity first, though.

If you got hurt feelings out of a comment don't quit your job as an FO. It has zero to do with hurt feelings and I could care less who he works for. The point was everyone taxis around with their strobes on when they're not on an active runway. It happens every single day.

Same team? Ya right. That's like saying the Patriots and the Cowboys are on the same team, and they're definitely not of the same caliber even though they both play professional football. Some teams just perform better. Why is it that we seldom see mainline aircraft taxing around on active taxiways at night with their strobes on? And to suggest that's it's not a big deal until your at mainline is ludicrous. If we're all on the same team as you say why not respect your fellow pilots and not blind them when they're behind you on a taxiway or wait until your actually on the runway before turning strobes on at night?

Oh BOO HOO. Jesus Christ. This is the standard that we measure ourselves, when the strobe lights come on? Get over yourself Captain America.
