I've been here just under 11 months and my last pay stub says I have netted $33,000 so for this year so I think ill be in the $36,000-37,000 range at the end off year one. thats a with just making guarantee the first couple months while in training and then avereging about 80-85 hours a month after than. figure I'll probably make just over $40,000 next year. obviously everyone differs but I hope that helps.

Off IOE last November, line since December last year. So far this year, including per diem I'm at 46k. But I pretty much work as much as possible, average at least 100 hours a month credit or more.

Ill agree, you can make money here (not as much as we deserve). For a new hire, Im a little into my second year and at 37k with three checks left to go. 1 month reserve and 2 months of CDOs in the year other than that lines around the 85 mark give or take.

For 2016 on half year one and half year two pay, 2 months at min guarantee, the rest 80-100 hours I'm at 44 with two months to go. Might be able to push 50, but that definitely requires more flying than minimum guarantee.

Anyone know how to bring up the tradeboard for other bases on FLICA? I remember using it once in the past, but can only seem to look at in base trips right now.

When starting out you have to look at what you will make the first 6 months, because it will be 3 months of training and at least 3 months of reserve. Unless you plan on picking up trips on your day off you will only be getting guarantee until you can hold a line. Plus if you do all your training in MSP , no per deim, and all the days you sit on reserve and do nothing, no per deim. In Nov there are 57 reserve pilots in LAX. Buddy of mine sat 6 days with no trips.
If you don't get insurance from your spouse, that will take a chunk out of your check.
On the flip side, there are always trips in open time, so if you want to pick up stuff you can.

can a reserve line holder pick up trips from the trade board?
just wondering because I saw a guy who is on reserve this month posting in the trade board that he wants to pick up a trip
I thought reserve pilots can only pick up stuff on their OFF days?

You can only pick stuff up on your off days and anything picked up via trade does not count above guarantee.
