The article essentially doesnt hint to any one regional as the operator for these 24 airframes. Time will tell I guess.
Id love a cpz ORD base! Just saying...
Skywest owns their planes. Compass already "won" a United bid once before. Our management has stated they are willing to take on more flying.

The 175 has second segment climb issues in Denver during the summer months. I doubt Denver will be the base. I think ORD or IAH would be the best bets.

I heard we bid for some UAL flying but Mesa underbid us. That is why they hired so many FAs and now are looking to have many take leave of absence.

You mean like from a year ago pre AA? Or another time since then?
The FA issue is LA only. I think attrition lower than expected. They also can bid lines down to 35 instead of our 75. So depending on how many bid full lines or not can greatly change staffing requirements.

Jesus christ, why are we (you idiots) even talking about this? There hasn't been a single indication from any official source that would lend any credibility to this unfounded rumor. Have some self respect and stop making us look desperate

Calm down man. Did your 5 day beat you up too much? What's wrong with a good rumor every once in a while? Fact of the matter is Compass is a pretty mellow airline. Nothing wrong with deviating from the standard "project my upgrade time", "hats suck", "how long will I be on reserve" conversation that normally comes across here.

Fact if the matter is if there is a pilot group that is desperate for growth it's not us. Compass currently offers legal minimum right seat to left career progression and I'm not even sure where we would find qualified captains if we did get that flying.

Dude chill. Seriously...bring it down a notch. There has been indication from an official source already. Management has already stated they are looking into more flying and we did almost have a contract for some United birds until Mesa under bid us at the last minute.

The United bid did happen, Mesa is loosing money on that contract and that's a fact. If Mesa didn't get that deal they would be in a rough place. Well rougher place.

A better and true rumbling.

Delta approached Holdings to purchase Compass and Go Jet but not TSA this year. Holdings did not want to give up two and be stuck only with TSA. That is a fact.

Doesn't Delta own the planes except for 7 or 8 900's. It seems if they want them they can get them after the contract expires. Plus it's going to get really interesting to see how the non wholly owned will compete with the pay that they wholly owned regionals are offering
