Question about the commute clause......I have a minimum of a 2-leg commute to work each shift and often its 3-legs (yeah welcome to my life) The first leg is a 20 minute hop but is often the most delayed/canceled due to weather. So the giving myself 2 flights to get to work, from where? Is that 2 chances on the first leg, again on the 2nd, also the third? Also, what if you make your first leg just fine but then leg 2 or 3 gets delayed/cancelled keeping you from getting there on time, how exactly do multiple-leg commutes work??

As far as delay, unless you knew of massive weather before hand, then it isnt up to you to account for delays as they usually dont happen. During bad storms they sometimes send out an email to take that into account, but its not contractual. If the commute is scheduled to have you in base by report time, then I guess you would be good. Might want to account for deplaning time and changing terminals.

HELP!!!!
Sorry to post so many Q's but I honestly feel this is the only place I get real answers! I have a build-up line for March. I'm trying to drop/swap duties for this Sat. Of course IOCC won't let me do jack, so I've been e-mailing back and fourth with triptrades for the last two days. We are not understanding each other, so I finally call scheduling today only to have the guy I talked to get super frustrated that I was wasting his time via phone call and finally yelled at me to e-mail triptrades before hanging up. The problem, that I was trying to explain, is that my responses from triptrades are a minimum 12 but usually 24hrs and in order for me to make my currently schedule duty for Sat. I'd have to get on a flight tomorrow morning. So, is there any other way to handle this, or do I basically just have to accept that this is the system I now work for and get on a plane in the morning only to get an e-mail when I land that its been taken care of?

I'm trying to see what my credit is currently at for March as I changed some trips around. Problem is..I don't know how to do so. When I pull up my 'duty plan' for March, all the pay/credit data is for February, even though it correctly pulls up my March trips. But I can't see a way to see what my current trips are worth (since they aren't what I was awarded in PBS..dropped some legs). Any ideas? l

I need some clarification if y'all don't mind. I'm on a build up line right now and was under the impression that we can drop reserve days that are green so long as we have at least 37.5 hours and 50% of scheduled duty periods. Crew scheduling seems to think that we can only swap reserve days for trips however we cannot drop any days without picking anything up. Is that true? I have heard otherwise from numerous other people.

I've been battling the same issue, they told me I couldn't drop RSV only swap for opentime and I needed to do it through IOCC, however IOCC cannot distinguish if somebody is on a buildup line or not so it won't let me pickup opentime on top of RSV. I finally, after 2 days got an e-mail that said they dropped the RSV days so that I could now go into IOCC and pickup. So back to your original question, I'm still not 100% sure but they did let me drop one without picking up. Everything else I picked up after dropping the RSV.

Guys...
Anyone who knows me knows I love good humor and cracking jokes.
But, can we act like professionals during the company conference call. I certainly appreciated everyone who asked the questions they did and force them to answer the questions.... but the guys who keyed up in the background with "Ugh" and playing the Star Spangled Banner only makes us look immature, unprofessional and silly. Not that they do....but how could management ever take us seriously with behavior like that. This isn't college anymore guys. Act like professionals.
YOU'RE ON GUARD!!

@ V1ROTATE, We are unable to drop reserve days. No matter how bright green they are.
You can only move reserve days. If you want to drop a reserve day you need to have a good reason for getting the day off and go to chief pilot.

Nope. Not true. Anybody with a build up line and has reserve days may drop them all if the grid is green.
