where do you go to checkin?
I know they do a daily flight back and forth as Pacific Air Cargo, do you know the flight times?

you can PM me if you don't want to post it
A great resource for jumpseating is the alpa app if you don't have it, covers listing procedures for most airlines pretty good.. but for Kalitta if you go to their website and look for supernumerary travel you'll find the form you need to fill out and either fax or email in. Needs to be done at least 24 hours prior. The flight leaves every morning around 03:00 (get there early cause they'll leave early if the cargo is loaded and ready) except for Sunday and Monday morning. You meet the ground crew over by the Cathay pacific cargo area just off century blvd and they drive you to the plane. Haven't been on the 400 yet but the old ones were pretty comfortable and the crews were always real nice! Good luck!

In LAX the C Series will be replacing the "regionals" as Ed B puts it.

Will the MSP base closure flush out the few lifers CPZ has? I can't imagine commuting across two time zones to a regional gig in the sunset years of your career.

There are many Guys who commute from FL to lax. I doubt we will see a mass exit of senior guys. But every jr FO I fly with that has been here less than a year talk about bailing or they already have apps in to laterally move, smh 🤦*♂️

It's tough to tell whether he meant getting completely rid of the regionals vs reducing the amount of regionals and replacing a lot of the planes with the C Series. In my opinion there will always be a place for the regional size plane but how many is up in the air. (pun intended)

The same could be said for Skywest and their future at LAX and SEA. Compass wouldn't be the only one affected by the regional reduction.

I think the question was about the top half dozen or so super senior MSP captains who are in their 60s (mostly ex ATA guys). I can't imagine many of them commuting to LAX. Maybe at first but I don't think it would last long.
