Thanks to the chiefs for making it happen!

I knew good news was right around the corner.

Wait did I miss something here....I don't see anything that says we are getting a retention bonus

Same here, where are you seeing this? Also, am I missing something or is this a blatant disregard for the contract? Do they just completely not care about the contract anymore or is there some stipulation that allows this?

Nope. Announced PHX base...no new applicants. Raised first year pay...no new applicants. Well ****, I guess we have to do more. I know, let's try violating the CBA again since it worked so well last time.

This.

I think the company chose to forget/doesn't care an ounce that a Contract still exists.

Yeah, I don't have the CBA handy at the moment and so I am not 100% positive the details of the LOA, maybe it is not strictly prohibited. But if it is, then I'd say they've reached a point where they just simply don't care.

The only way I see that the Company went against a previously decided "illegal" bonus is maybe there is some truth to this additional retention bonus for current pilots. I could see the Union allowing a new hire bonus IF the company gives a bonus to the rest of us already here...
