I did that commute when I was first started here, piece of cake. I lived in Mill Valley and took the SFO Marin bus down which was an hour, then flew. It was a bit of a long day, but never had a problem getting on a plane.
Why don't you just move down? I'm a Bay Area native but just moved down after a couple of months since LA was not going to give me any sticker shock coming from up north. Whatever you decide, it's not too bad.

Ha! Well if you need a rumor I can certainly start one. Some encouragement though, we have lots of SFO and SJC overnights, some built with decent lay overs so... if you are near one or both the airports (palo alto?) you could sleep at home when on a trip!

All right now I'm confused. What's the official Compass seat reset position. I understand all the way up can suck especially if the airplane is dark and you're stuck with your head in the ceiling. But I thought putting the seat forward was standard, especially on the delta birds so you could get your bag in behind the seat. Have I been doing things wrong this whole time? Am I the problem!!! WHO AM I?!?
The Skywest wave! To my knowledge that started years ago when OO guys refused to wave at us, one CP here who’s long gone would start waving like that . Now its just fun, I love it when a crew gives me that wave, puts a smile on my face in the worst of days, kudos to him/her

How is all the way up any better than all the way down? The real convince is all the way back, not slid to the side medium height. Come on people!!! The stuff people do and expect others to do to "convenience" others is starting to inconvenience me and isn't that ruining the whole point of it.

In the LAX box alley last week, I was waiting for an inbound CPZ before we could leave. Gave a casual "hi" wave to the other plane as it approached and got one back from the other FO. Then switched to the crazy two hands wave and got the crazy two handed wave back from the same FO. Totally made my day, and I'm nominating that FO for above and beyond!

I know, I don't care at all. If anybody seriously came and talked to me about how I left the seat I'd tell them to get a life and care about stuff that actually matters. Leave the seats however, I don't let petty stuff ruin my life
