Thank you all. So I'm assuming 41/HR first year is not an accurate number from the website?

That is accurate as far as I know. Then it increases a certain percentage each year after.

Yes, they're accurate and grossly low with what's happening in the regional market.

if someone came into Compass today, with 4000 total time, 1500 part 121 SIC time, how long would it take to upgrade? And then how long on reserve? eternity?

Also, on their recruiting page, they indicate quite a few people have gone to Delta.. is that left over from the flow they had a few years back or does Delta actually hire Compass people fairly regularly?
Reason for asking: regional I'm at rarely has anyone get hired at a major.. nearly everyone has to make a lateral move to another regional, or a smaller step-up to a place like Frontier or Spirit, etc, before getting a chance at a major.

I don't want to make extra career moves and screw myself seniority-wise, but I also don't want to become a bitter lifer at my regional like some are….

I wouldn't come here, you won't get a fast upgrade. Reserve times will come down to 2 months next year at the current hiring rate (call me crazy).

Delta likes us, we ARE the Delta difference. Those are all non flow people, always been a steady attrition source

So weird thing happened trying to Nonrev on AA using AAC. I noticed that a D6 was cleared before me. Talked to the gate agent and she said that unless I was issued an E-ticket (What? Not the boarding pass on your phone either) then I will be seated as a D7. I told her that AAC should be about D3. She kept saying not unless I have this E-ticket. I told her this was the only way to do it and we do it through American so I have no idea how I get an E-ticket. Anyone have any experience with this? I’ve never heard of this until now and this E-ticket only thing. Very strange. Tried to get more info out of her but she said I’d have to talk to “my people” so that’s what I’m doing now.

Disregard. Agent mistake. Classic

I always suggest keeping the AA travel memo handy... in comply. It's got it all spelled out... also there is a comply app you can get on your phone that is exactly like your iPad, makes getting things very easy... like reserve lists (and hotel memos) sorry had to bring it back up haha

So, I'm confused. You say "don't come here" yet you also say Delta likes Compass people…

I understand, no fast upgrade if hired now even w/ the qualifications. Do they do CA on CA flying there, of if you've upgraded are you only used on reserve as a CA?

What would be your best estimate of the time it'd take to get upgraded?
I'd actually want some FO time, instead of coming in to a brand new airplane and upgrading right away… but I don't want years of it when I could upgrade sooner where I'm at.
But Delta thinking highly of Compass pilots says a lot… where-as where I'm at no one gets hired at majors :/
