What kind of corporate flight department does McDonalds have and how do you find out about them?

out of sheer curiosity I went to mcdonalds website and low and behold found a job opening for a captain. I looked under Careers, then searched jobs, Air Travel, and eureka! It took me literally 5 seconds.

Okay Mr Smarty pants now that you have read the exact same thing that I have read, which lead me to write this post, which in turn made me want to know a little more about the aviation side of McDonald's, that whole get to know the job before applying to something you may or may not want would you have anything to add that is pertinent to their operation? i guess i should ask more specific questions next time. My bad.

Lets call it a draw guys. The original post was a little vague and insinuated that you possibly knew nothing of the flight department. The follow on post answered that question and then added some unneeded sarcasm. The reply to that followed with even more sarcasm.

Its a tie...play nice everyone.

Since April '2008, we have completed 6,413 flights legs, transported 19,021 passengers,
flown 4,686,014 miles which is equivalent to: 188 times around the world and 10 round trips to the moon! Department consists of two aircraft, eight pilots (including Senior Director and Chief Pilot),

That seems like a awful lot of flying for 8 pilots..... I'll pass

I was referring to the amount of flying divided by the eight pilots.
8 Pilots
2 pilots per crew = 4 crews
4,686,014 / 4 crews = 1,171,503.5 miles
1,171,503.5 / april thru october (7) months = 167,357 miles per month per crew
167,357 miles / 30 days = 5,578 miles per day per crew

I guess I'm bored since I took the time to figure that but I still say SCREW THAT!

I had no intentions to offend anyone and my apologies for the sarcasm.

Any one else feel like they were reading a Dilbert Cartoon when reading that job posting? How many buzz words can you use in one paragraph?

"The Aviation Services Department provides transportation solutions which enhance the Corporations' success. We create value by delivering responsive, consistent, time-effective customer mobility."

So each airplane does equivalent to a transcon per day? Do these airplanes ever see any maintenance? Pretty insane numbers.
