Default Where to go looking for Corp. flying jobs ?

My original posting asked about where to start inquiry about corporate/business flying jobs but my font size was outrageous so I deleted and re-type it again !
I have a corporate flying background, typed in CL600/601 and CE560 business jets and lots of DA20 right seat time plus some time in King Air 90 and Beech 99 airliner. I want to move west to get away from living the Gulf of Mexico weather patterns, tired of the humidity and rain !!! I don't mind filing flight plans, making phone calls to arrange for transporation and hotels, getting the catering, hauling the bags unless they are bigger than me !!! I have done all that before, know what it entails and understand it. Thanks for any advice

Step 1. Reduce the size of your font.
Step 2. Start to network, maybe hang out a shingle as a contract pilot for the aircraft you are rated on, to help in expanding your network.
Step 3. Seek out those corporate operations that are in the locations you're interested in and have the type of flying you're looking to do and walk a resume in to the Chief Pilot so he/she can put a name with a face.
Step 4. Network, network, network.

Just bustin' your chops about the font thing, but getting out there and expanding your reach through friends, family, coworkers, and personal contacts is probably the best way to start IMO.

Good luck to you.

First, I did not see your first message so cannot have an opinion on it other than it sounds like you are font challenged.

I am not sure what you are asking. The only clear message in the above is that you do not like where you are based and want to move west (not sure why that will be better, but ok ...)

If you intend to stay as a corporate pilot then Mink's post is useful. You need to think about what is bothering you, form a clearer question, and perhaps the learned and experienced members here can help (as I know they are willing to, myself included).

Let's hear from you again, regardless of the font option

Kevin

Tennessee:
Living in the Rocky Mountain region let me give you a heads up. Business aviation is not as prominent as it is east of the Mississippi, unless you go to Texas, Arizona, or California. If you choose anywhere but those locations, be prepared to have a career flying light to mid-sized aircraft. Sure there are some heavy stuff, but that's pretty scarce compared to small population of B/C aircraft. Personally I am coming to terms that if I want to step up, I will have to relocate either to the East Coast or to one of the states mentioned above. But if you still have your heart on coming out west, then networking is key. Good luck to you!

Ziggy, THANK YOU for a friendlier response ........................ I appreciate what you are telling me here and that is WHY I have posted on this part of the forum.
I have a very very good flying job right now with a very very good aviation company located in the Midsouth USA, I just might want to do something different when that time comes to retire ..................... I am more looking to relocate and would like to find out what is out there ................. West bound ! From what I can see here so far, NETWORKING and making those visits are going to be the main staple of job searching.
