We have 22 pilots to fly 4 planes, 7 hard days off per month, 3 weeks vacation after 3 years. 60/40 international and domestic, average is about 13-16 days worked each month. If you have any additional duty ( training mgt, safety, standards), it is yours to manage, Boss doesn't want people showing face--be in the office for a reason. I do about 4 days per month as the Safety officer.

Advantages--lots of variety, been to places I'll talk about in old age, good living on the road, Marriott, Ritz or Shangi-la hotels, good equipment.

Disadvantages--schedule, mostly. We have a solid plan by the 20th of the month about hard off days, but that's it.

If I had 80% under me at FedEx or UPS, I'd be content, too. Not many of us can say that.
