Sorry I should have been a little more clear in my original post about why I'm asking here in the first place. I do have internal connections with them but at the current moment I am not able to get in contact with them for various reasons. I cant apply yet for one because I am still in college and just looking at options between a regional and corporate. I was just told by some of my contacts to stay in touch (when I can) so that when the time comes I can choose between the regional route and the corporate route. By the time I get done my degree I have the possibility of joining the company. Because I'm not in the position to get in touch with them at the moment I was just asking here to see if anyone may have had there own opinions about the place that they could share.
I know what you mean though. I would say that your are definitely correct about that in saying that I HAD the "evil management" mentality but that makes sense that they wouldn't want someone with them who is fun to be around or who wont be enjoying themselves for a long period of time between trips. At the same time I wouldn't say I need to change my attitude I was just confused about why other threads were able to get info about other flight departments and when I come to ask some of the same questions but about a different company I get bashed for it. But yes that makes sense It sure isn't like an airline where you have thousands of people to ask I knew that the chances of someone knowing about them would be slim but I was just giving it a chance hoping that I could find someone.
Without a doubt as long as they are still interested in me, I will be applying (when the time comes that I can do so) to find out all the information I can and see which direction I want to go with my career.
Anyway, hope that clears up any misunderstanding of why I was asking here. The choice between trying to get to a major or just staying with this one company for hopefully the rest of my career is a hard choice. So asking everyone I can about both options is basically what I'm doing at the moment. My final goal is to become a management pilot (chief, Director of Safety, etc.) which may be easier to become by going into corporate.

Gotcha. Maybe you could have filled us in on your background from the get go and saved a lot of time.
In all due respect, its unlikely that anyone is interested in you right now. Finish college and get 3-5000hrs of QUALITY PIC time. Thats really what you should be shooting for. Certainly stay in touch with your friends there and build your network (vital) but I would not worry about the contacts at one company. In 5-7 years when you may be a candidate that company may not even exist, or may not have a flight department, or may not be hiring, etc etc. Nobody knows what the job climate will be like next week, nevermind in 5+ years.
Again, Good Luck with your goals!

If one of the bigwigs from the back asks for an ETA, just respond, I can get you there between 11 and 3, or 4 and 8, which works best for you? And would you mind filling out a customer survey form after we land?

Thank you for your insight on the world. Real world replies? I think you might want to read the first several replies again. Ive only been around aviation (military and civilian) for about 20 years and corporate for a brief 14. Ive yet to see people respond in person with the sarcastic and condescending attitudes that I frequently see on these forums. Im not sure if its because of the anonymity the computer provides or if its really the individuals who cant control themselves - but its a little ridiculous that a new person cant come on here and ask a simple question without being chastised and made to feel stupid.

It seems like this started from the beginning. I'm sure he didn't mean to make it sound this way but when somebody says "they are considering on trying to get on with them" it rubs some people the wrong way. Most guys on here have put in there dues at crappy operations, finally making contacts to have the oppurtunity to meet the director or chief pilot of a large corporation, which may lead to a potential interview. It's rare that people have numerous "once in a lifetime" jobs that they can "consider."
Anyway, I know a couple of people at Comcast and they have nothing but good things to say about the department. They have a couple falcon 2000's, and the pilots have a good QOL. I'm not sure about pay, trip types or any other details.
I have to disagree with some of the other guys though. Just because you are low time, that doesn't rule you out whatsoever it just makes it a little harder. I was 23 with 1100 hours when I got my first job with a fortune 300 company flying a Hawker and a year and a half later they sent me to school on the G5 so it can be done. Some departments like having a mixture of younger (less experience) guys so they can mold them to what they want, and don't have to break old, bad habits.
Do your homework on the company before hand, talk to as many people as possible that are familiar with the operation. Persistence pays off eventually. Good luck!

I know that this thread is at least 4 years old. I've been somewhat silent about what's been going on with me however I've learned that sometimes you can't let everyone know what your intentions are b/c not everyone is for you...
Having said that, it's Comcast whom I work for and trust me...I'm already putting together a plan to find out more information about our Corporate Flight Dept.
