Question How to negotiate salary for two acft types...

Any suggestions on how (if I'm offered the position) to negotiate a salary for a Flt Dept out west that operates two different acft types (Falcon/Hawker)?

My thought was to take the Annual Salary Survey average for the two types then average those two figures ...

What would you folks do?

Generally speaking, If you're dual rated, you should be paid the higher of the two types.

Why do pilots underrate themselves?

If you are typed in two airplanes then you should be paid a premium above the larger rate airplane. You must keep current and knowledgeable in two airplanes. Please tell me that worth something to you?

If your CEO runs his company and then sits on the board of another does he not get paid a little extra?

Stop bringing this industry down !!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can get it, then by all means do so. Unforunately, industry standard is generally the larger of the two.

That is industry standard. Look up your pay rate for your aircraft on NBAA and add 5-10%(depending on what you can negotiate). Anything less then 5% you are bringing the industry down.
