Default Beechjet FMS Simulator?

I've got a buddy who was recently typed in the Beechjet. He'd like to feel more comfortable with the FMS. I guess it's a Rockwell Collins system.

Is there a PC FMS simulator available for the Beechjet?

TIA.

If he was typed at FlightSafety or CAE I know they offer all the training literature and can send it to you via the cloud or email.

I like after you finished a type school you go out on the line and they say if you didnt learn it here you will learn it out there.... Hopefully his compadre in the other seat knows the FMS a little better than him or they might find themselves in a bit of trouble! Good luck to your buddy.

Neither. He was typed in the plane.

He has access to the manuals. He'd just like a little practice.

Collins has one, about $750 IIRC.

I make it a big point when I get new FO's to have them use the FMS as much as possible to get used to building fixes, enter crossing restrictions, extending center lines etc. I have only used two different FMS's, but this one in the Beechjet is great.

I don't know of any online practice program though... perhaps just playing around with it while hooked up to a GPU.

You are indeed correct however, if you ask for more information, they will offer up a free 30 day trial. That was about 3 years ago for the Pro Line 21 but it never hurts to ask.

Tell him to relax. Collins is about as easy as FMS comes. Nonetheless, it will be about 200 hrs before he feels good.

If you're new to Proline 21, there's a number of Youtubes on setting up and flying this system by Eduardo Mijares - cheesy music, but pretty good videos of it all. Google "Youtube Beechjet Mijares" and you'll find them.
