Hey Guys
Was just doing a little surfing and came across Ameriflight. I have heard of them before but dont know much about them. Does anyone want to give any insight into them and how much their pilots make. Looked at their website but it didnt really say much about that.

rubbersidedown,
If you want to know more about AMF, check out the Part 135 section in the forum. Also, if you wanna know more about them, send me a PM. I currently fly the PA31 Chieftain and the BE99 Airliner.
AMF is one of the biggest Part 135 air cargo operators in the U.S. We are the main "mosquito fleet" for UPS as well as DHL. We operate PA31 Cheiftains, Beech 99's and 1900's, Fairchild Metro's, Brasilia's, and Lear 35's.
Everything except for the Brasilia and Lear 35's are single pilot operations.
If you wanna know more about pay, schedule, aircraft, QOL, or anything else just drop me a message.

Thanks "Captain Teezy" I have checked out this site and I know it over, but it doesnt give advice from people who have been with the company and know the ins and outs.
Freightdog: If you get hired, what plane do you start out in and move up to and so on? Also how long does the move up take? Do they hire you to a specific base or how does that work? Thanks for all the info.

md11freightdog,
Yes, it still happens, but it is still rare. The pilots that I have known personally either knew a management pilot at UPS, or FedEx, or had a mentor or family friend as SWA. I know of one guy who was in the Lear Jet for about 5 years that went to SWA.
Most guys are making the jump to Netjets, or Skywest then making the jump to a "major".

Your, question isn't really easy to answer. When you apply and are interviewed it depends on your qualifications and the needs of the company. For the most part most people are assigned the Chieftan at PDX, OAK, BUR, PHX, and SEA. For those, upgrade usually takes 6 months, but you have to be mobile. If you come with better time than the mins, then you could start out in the BE-99 or directly hired into the 1900 or Metro. Also in your interview if they wish to hire you they will give you your choice of bases are maybe equipment.

rubbersidedown-
Im curious why you posted this in the Corporate section and not in Cargo or Part 135. Any particular reason? Also, in relation to pay, I believe AMF is a salary operation so the figures here on APC should be pretty accurate.
