Why do the trend lines for deaths and cases coincide very neatly along nearly the exact same time frame beginning in late March, but aren't following the same pattern now?

1. Slightly different virus (mutation).
2. Treatment protocols have been changed/improved.
3. Quality/availability of care decreases once hospitals/ICUs overflow. (increases mortality) ...and that takes time.

I wear a face shield, which is vastly superior to a mask.

Actually a face shield is almost completely uselss by itself. Its supposed to be worn in conjunction with a mask.

That's how China took care of the virus.

So is a bandana. Or a thin cloth mask. Or any mask worn as a chin warmer. Or any mask worn with the nose uncovered. Or any mask worn in a car ALONE.

And yet, you see them every day...

The primary vector of transmission is hands to the face, Covid isn't airborne, it spreads through droplets. Face shields block almost 100% of droplets reaching a possible place where the virus can enter the body. Wearing a mask improperly, like 98% of people, is actually increasing the spread, especially increased touching of the face without washed hands.

COVID is unequivocally airborne. Whether or not that is the primary mode of spread might certainly be argued. The fact that it does occur isn’t really in doubt.
