Keep in mind the .1% flu death rate is including the 50 some percent that gets vaccines. Of those that don’t, can’t, or get the ‘wrong strain cocktail’ die. So that .1% chance is not even including the entire population.

COVID-19 is showing a .1% death rate (and lowering daily as we find out more). We are finding out much more infected people (which lowers death rate). And we aren’t even considering how many false death rates attributed to COVID-19 which we will learn in the future when there are 0 deaths from heart disease in 2020.

I get that it spreads way faster than flu, we need to protect at risk folks ala Sweden. That is risk mitigation and harm reduction.

But we need to realize people are going to die, like our soldiers who know it is worth lives, to save a civilization/great nation.

What is the death rate of a soldier in a combat zone? What if they said, all lives matter and are of so much importance that we should all just hunker and bunker and ruin all nations?

But no, thankfully our great service members Put on their big boy pants and are willing to sacrifice their lives to save a nation, to have a prosperous nation.

Have you ever heard the term “false equivalent”? To compare service members dying in service to our country to the government’s abject failure to produce anything akin to a public health policy or pandemic response is in a word; ignorant.

Here’s another fun word; ironic. You posted a video of a for profit co-owner of a private Urgent Care Clinic touting the Santa Clara study as proof that this whole pandemic thing is overblown. Then your next link is a story about how real statisticians are eviscerating the Santa Clara study and pointing out the flaws in the findings.

The cure is far worse than the disease. The government deliberately put 26 MILLION AMERICANS out of work to protect their special interests. In addition, the government's cowardly action has bankrupted thousands of businesses. The government from the top down has taken money from CHINA directly or through lobbyists to outsource AMERICAN JOBS. Textile, steel and drug manufacturing are the major ones. Approximately 80% of AMERICAN drugs are manufactured in CHINA. A REAL leader would demand CHINA to surrender 4 TRILLION in treasury debt or not be allowed to dock their cargo ships in U.S. ports. Floating the Chinese currency would also put them back to the Stone Age because their products would be too expensive to buy. The government can't do any of this because they would be exposed for taking money from Chinese interests. That is why the President made the statements about wanting to work together and having the Chinese be prosperous. Not a word about extracting payment and severe sanctions. Remember this as you receive your furlough letters and enter into concessions.

That is a hyperbole, but the point being, those in the past weren’t cowardly selfish as we are today.

We could also end all deaths from car accidents if we banned driving. But what condition would our nations future be in without cars?

The point being, this isn’t just not wanting to eat at the Golden Corral fir a few more weeks. This is greatly and exponentially (as time goes on) screwing up the world for our children and future generations. So not worth that, to save a few lives.

A soldier has a say if they are willing to risk their life or not by signing up. The at risk folks don’t have a say, it’s whatever the government says. Even if all the at risk folks said they are willing to risk their lives for their children’s future, they would have to convince their reps of the same. Because unfortunately, most in the government don’t care about people’s lives or the future or the right thing or common sense, just re-election.

I can literally say the same thing to you about your stance....good contribution to a discussion....

Enough will full ignorance.

It (shutting the world economy down) IS that bad Karen.

You can risk getting COVID-19 for another month or so (at which point in time herd immunity could be achieved.)

Ah, the ol' "I know you are but what am I" tactic.

Well, played.... well played.

Would you like some cheese with that whine?
