Not if the response is similar to the attack, and difficult/impossible to trace. Even though they’d know where it came from, they couldn’t prove it, most likely.

They're probably not in Russia proper because the Russians would kill them for doing something from like this from their territory. Whatever trouble Putin likes to stir up, it's not key infrastructure attacks against the other nuclear super-power. Also NATO article 5.

By the same token, he'd look the other way if we went in and got them low-key like, although like I said he'd get them first.

yeah, I can’t help but think whoever these guys are they have significantly overplayed their hand. I can’t help but wonder if it was simple ignorance. I mean the words, ‘Colonial Pipeline’ didn’t mean all that much to me before this happened, and from Eastern Europe it might have seemed like a little company that might drop a million dollar payoff rather than go through the cost of trying to reconstruct their system while all their customers went elsewhere. They may well be scared spitless right now, expecting Delta Force, Spetznaz, AND an FSB assault team to come knocking on their door - possibly with a preceding Hellfire missile to soften it up.

When you strike at the king, you better kill him. They didn’t.

I'm skeptical that any of the majors will turn a profit this summer, but time will tell

Agreed. With international MIA, legacies are going to fight with the point to point LCC/ULCC, and the consumer will win with competitive pricing and over capacity on point to point leisure routes. However, for that fight, ULCC have some rifles, LCC have many pistols, and the legacies have innumerable swords. Lets see how bad the bleeding gets.

Consumer getting a win will be a great thing to rocketboost airline travel for the peeps

Yeah I had the same thought, I'm not sure they actually expected it all to shut down... the shut down was actually pre-emptive on the part of the operator to prevent the malware from spreading. But they are supposed to be a very professional operation, differentiated from pimply kids by their intel and planning.

Thursday 1.74 mm, - another new high
+950K, 9.5% - wow growth - 100% in 5 weeks if sustained
Average Daily last 7 days 1.57 mm or 11.0 mm for the 7 days.

vs. 2019-
Day 67%, 1wk 66%, 2wk 63%

Auspicious start to the leisure traveler weekend with a barn burner 1.74MM itsmytime was off on his 2MM by just a couple weeks. At this rate Memorial Day is liable to hit the double
