There is more to life than just Rt percentages... You have to take a look at the whole picture. Social, Economic and Health. 7 months in there should be no doubt about who and what to protect. And exactly how deadly the Vid is to a majority of the population. All CA is doing is destroying the future of people who face very little danger from the Vid.

Forgotten is the whole purpose of this nonsense. Hospitals. With 10-12k daily cases all Summer long in CA, TX, Fl, I think it's been proven we have the hospital capacity issues dealt with. But for some reason all anyone cares about is number of cases now. Wonder why that is?

Also, it is readily apparent each States Vid stats have a time of year component. Hot summer months in the South vs. cold Winter months in the North. Cuomo is gonna have to stop bragging in a couple weeks. November weather turns cold and crappy in NY State. 40 degrees and rain/slush, people indoors vs. out in the open all Summer.

Yeah CA is definitely not winning any awards.
Exactly!! I like how the government quietly switched from "we need restrictions/ lock downs to flatten the curve" to "we need restrictions to get below a certain case count"... Despite enough capacity in the hospitals and the fact that even with all the current measures it's impossible to completely stop the spread of the virus.

I know we are drifting off topic, sorry.

9.5% gain week over week and reversed the YOY decline as well.

Largest week over week gain when your throw out the weeks around a holiday.

We always hear talk about sept and October being slow so I was surprised to see 2.6 million from this day last year. That’s the same as some summer weeks.

Slow leisure. High business. October is traditionally the highest for business travel.

Lol it’s easy to lose track because it’s not called Columbus Day in a lot of places anymore.

But most schools now have a “fall holiday” or some sort of teacher development day, i.e. a day off. It’s effectively a 3-day weekend.

The raw number is good even compared to a true holiday like Labor Day this year. Definitely encouraging as far as slow and steady improvements go.

great #'s. Monday is a federal holiday and most federal employees, many state/local, and many school districts are off.

As someone indicated, indeed October is reported as the busiest business travel month of the year.

great #'s

time to start breaking 40% without hiccup, on a consistent basis.

this should occur by end of November

It's called some other BS now...

Last year I made it a point to call it Columbus Day over the P.A. Same with Christmas...

The f@cked up cancel culture and politically correct nonsense ends at the cockpit door.

When will we hit 1,000,000? Place your bets.
