COVID vaccine for a stimulus check?
Interesting read tying a stimulus check to getting the vaccine. Seems like a carrot vs stick approach. The article clearly states it wouldn’t be mandatory to get the shot, but no personal stimulus unless you do.
It’s likely the fastest way to herd immunity, economic recovery, and easing restrictions. I think many businesses would welcome the idea as they would less often have to be the bad guy in a take it or find a new job scenario.
Thoughts?

I see some ethical issues with this, to say the least.

But just an incentive bonus just to get vaccinated? No, that's fine.

I am a bleeding heart liberal that thinks all life is precious, and that we should be shutting down all commerce, hospitality, transportation, whatever it takes no matter how many people suffer, as long as I can keep one more terminally ill nursing patient alive an additional month so that they can lie in bed alone and stare at the ceiling and die of heart failure rather than the dreaded, scary, despicable COVID-19.
