Germany now has a very similar percentage of vaccinated people as the USA. Almost 60% have had at least one dose and just under 50% are fully vaccinated. These numbers seem pretty typical for most of the EU with some countries doing better and some worse. Just like in the US the delta variant is dominant.
Why aren't EU citizens allowed to freely travel to the USA yet? I have a digital EU vaccination "passport" on my phone. Why should this not be recognized in the US? The Biden administration seems to be pretty vague on what it will take for them to allow visitors from Europe again. What a shame. Any thoughts?

When this all started in March 2020, it was all about not overwhelming the hospitals (which did not happen - we built millions of dollars worth of tent hospitals that were never used) and flattening the curve - two weeks to keep from getting the system overwhelmed. Is the goal now zero deaths ever? Because that is pretty unrealistic.
Anyone who wants to can get vaccinated now. Who are we still protecting - the children who were never really at any risk anyway? Isn't the curve pretty flat now? How much longer are we really going to drag this out?

If you believe that hospitals turning the gift shop into hospital beds, running out of ICU space, and bringing in multiple freezer trucks to contain the dead did not represent overwhelming a hospital, then perhaps your concept of what overwhelms, is unrealistic.

That really depends on how you couch your lie.

And one about the wasted tent hospitals we built.-

Standing by and looking forward to learning something.
