Mea culpa, dropped a decimal. I’ll give you that one.

Versus about 13,500/sq mile for Miami.

Don’t forget San, riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, Orange County and tj. Anaheim and part of long beach are in Orange County. It’s all one big cluster of humans. Just keep searching articles and maps. You’ll figure it out.

Flown over it many times. Still didn’t stop me from dropping a decimal. But neither does it explain the current RATE discrepancy between California and Florida. Or of the Bay Area and Miami.

fair enough. I’ll take your word on that but if your arguing there should be no restrictions we’ll just have to disagree on that. Some of the restrictions make sense and others don’t. The hospitals are overwhelmed and medical professionals are asking for help. Most businesses are happy to comply as they just got another round of payroll protection and doordash is helping as everyone seems to be dinning at thier favorite pre covid restaurant. The four across the street have lines nightly. A year from now we’ll probably know the best course of action with how to manage in the future. Right now it’s hard to say and this one state against another is kind of pointless. We all live in the same country.

Where did Tim get THAT reduction ad absurdum idea? Did you not get the thread title? CREDIBILITY SHATTERED.

Public Health has always been dependent on credibility of both the public health professionals AND the local government. There are not enough cops in the country to COMPEL people to follow restrictions. People must be taught and lead, not pushed

Some of the restrictions make sense and others don’t.
And when the ratio of “makes sense” to “don’t” is too low, when the ones who make the rules are too frequently caught flouting them themselves, and when people try to compel rather than to teach and lead, they lose all credibility. Which is why relatively few people are obeying those restrictions. Look at the TSA numbers yesterday. Over a million people travelled despite being told not to travel, despite quarantines (unenforced because they are unenforceable) at Zlax And all of New York State.

Too many dumb things have been done for too long and too many politicians have been caught violating their own rules and too many lies have been told. Credibility is gone, and it may take a decade to get it back.

Quit arguing with Libtards! They can’t be swayed with facts and real science. They only believe the narrative and what is fed to them by the likes of CNN, MSNBC and Supreme Leader Sloth Biden.

I read the title. Didn’t realize it was a thread for pilots that agreed only. Out.

OK to disagree, but not to make unwarranted assumptions about things I have never asserted and that are off topic.

Default Funny how a recall petition...

....focuses the mind.

the guy who wouldn’t allow people to walk in state parks in April, when the death rate in California was 80 a day, is now saying damn the torpedos (and the California Teachers Union) and full speed ahead, now that he’s about to get the Gray Davis treatment.
