Can you provide a single, verifiable metric that the government is using to determine when to resume normal daily life?

Most people don’t understand that this is the only point of this entire “pandemic”. It’s coming so fast that I can’t even keep up.

Can you provide a single, verifiable metric that this is somehow a rouse to take away our freedoms?

PCR threshold, hospitalizations, death rates do you think they are just winging it with no data? Look, it clearly won't be a delineated line where we say, "welp, all good back to normal!", but I'd venture to say by the summer with the amount of vaccinations and warm weather things will be looking up.

That’s the point. You will always look at some point in time in the not too distant future and think that things are going to get better. That’s how they intended it to be. That moment that you are hoping for, will never come. Ever. I can guarantee you that.

Just the millions unemployed due to their businesses being forcefully closed by government decree. But it's not you so no big deal, right?

I also don't see a verifiable metric in your response. Kinda the definition of winging it, no?

Not to mention having to take a covid test to do anything, advocating for freedom passports to get back to normal life, no travel ever again.

That's a super crappy byproduct not a rouse to steal freedoms. It is by no means 'not a big deal' so nice try.

Metrics, every state has them...here's mine they aren't just winging it good grief. Enough virtue signaling.

While I don't doubt that a few fringe loonies/greta fans would like that, most politicians know that they need a functioning economy which they can tax to fund their lavish ambitions. The grownups in the house know that they can't just tear down the old and expect a thriving, robust, tax-ready, new economy to pop up overnight... that would take decades (if ever) and they can't wait that long to get their hands on the moolah.

We, fortunately, are a key enabler of a significant sector of the national (and global economy): tourism and travel.

So the government removing your right to run your business isn't taking away freedoms? How about in California or Hawaii where people were being arrested for walking around outside? You realize how stupid that sounds, right?

I'm all about someone having a differing opinion than me. What I cannot stand, is when they don't own up to what their opinion actually means. As more of this happens, it becomes very clear who is on the wrong side of the issues.

What businesses were specifically told they can no longer operate? What constitutional freedoms have been specifically violated? Should the government have no say in public health matters? Should bars be packed in the midst of a pandemic?

Those questions asked, I will say the gubmint should do more to assist folks when dealing with something like this. If they are going to ask people to stay home, more effort should have been made to ensure people have food on the table and jobs to go back to.

But we're drifting here aren't we? There are metrics, there are rational folks working to end this and we will make it back.
