We’d be better off without them.
Anti-vax nutters are dying 5x faster than the non dumbdumbs.

And I say: "good"

One of the first things you learn as a military officer is to never give an order you lack the will or the ability to enforce. Prohibition proved that applies even if it’s done by constitutional amendment. I realize this article is from a right wing source, but that doesn’t make it necessarily untrue:

https://www.npr.org/2021/09/23/10392...-make-it-worse

an excerpt:

Details about how the federal vaccine mandate will be enforced have yet to be released, but already protests have become regular events outside hospitals, and employers are warning they could see large numbers of workers quit just when they're needed the most.
It's hard to predict how many people will actually quit their jobs over the vaccine mandate. In June, after a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by health care workers at Houston Methodist Hospital over its vaccine mandate, more than 150 workers quit or were fired.

Lewis County General Hospital in upstate New York said it would stop delivering babies this month after six people in the maternity department quit over New York's vaccine mandate.

In Maine, where the governor announced a vaccine mandate for health care workers in mid-August, hospitals are so far reporting only a handful of resignations, but enforcement of the mandate is still more than a month away.

Losing even one or two workers would be a problem

"I can't afford to lose anyone," says Ted LeNeave, CEO of Accura HealthCare, which operates 34 nursing homes and assisted living facilities in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. Because of staffing shortages, they've had to limit admissions, turning down patients coming from hospitals.

Now OSHA is responsible for coming up with the rule to make this mandatory and since we are talking OSHA it’s really hard to tell if they are intentionally slow rolling this or if that’s just all they got when it comes to speed, but it would not surprise me if even they realized this could be devastating and are intentionally trying to NOT get it done, hoping this wave will continue to subside and like the “everybody is going to get a six month booster” directive, it will ultimately just go away.

COVID is a complex problem, as is vaccine hesitancy. Neither will respond well to simplistic dogmatic solutions. Agent provocateurs trying to score political or debating points by maligning people with different beliefs are - in my opinion - more part of the problem than part of the solution.

Excellent post cargodog.

As far as what droptank said, I don't judge people like him pimping the jab and wishing death to all those who are applying their given rights of informed consent when it comes to their personal health and that of their children.

Not everyone has what it takes much less the fortitude and intelligence to resist the 24/7 propaganda and doom porn.

It's ironic those hoping for the deaths of people they disagree with are the same proponents of universal healthcare.

Another story from the same right wing source:

NY Hospitals Worry About Staff Shortages As Monday Vaccine Deadline Approaches

John Minchillo/APNEW YORK (AP) — Hospitals and nursing homes in New York are bracing for the possibility that a statewide COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers could lead to staff shortages when it takes effect Monday.

Doctors and nurses — and also support staff, like food service workers and cleaners — have been given until Sept. 27 to get at least their first vaccine shot in one of the nation's most aggressive plans to protect patients.

With just days left to go before the deadline, many still hadn't. That left the prospect of potentially thousands of health care workers being forced off the job next week.

With no sign of Gov. Kathy Hochul backing down, hospitals and nursing homes were preparing contingency plans that included cutting back on elective surgeries and, at one hospital, halting maternity services. Nursing homes were limiting admissions. The state's largest health care provider, Northwell Health, was keeping thousands of volunteers on standby.

"We would like to see some more time to be able to comply and implement the vaccine mandate, because at the end of the day it's a situation where we're very concerned about our ability to care for the patients," said Tom Quatroche, CEO of the Erie County Medical Center Corporation, which operates a busy 573-bed hospital in Buffalo.

It anticipates that about 10% of its workforce, or 400 staff members, might still not be vaccinated by Monday. Under a contingency plan, the hospital said it would suspend elective inpatient surgeries, temporarily stop accepting ICU transfers from other institutions and reduce hours at outpatient clinics.

And of course when the troops get a terminally stupid order, sometimes their local chain of command finds innovative workarounds…

Ready, fire, aim, is rarely a good plan…

And this in in New York, scarcely a bastion of antivaxxer activity.

I mean, I know you think you're being clever, or edgy, or something, but you understand just how incredibly stupid, selfish, non-persuasive (anti-persuasive, really), and just souless this is, right?

Maybe you'd like to now formally deny the vaccination to "dumdmbs"? Make it illegal for them to vaccinate? That would be "good", right? Clean up the gene pool? A little Covid-eugenics, am I right?
