Even the scientists thought it was man-made initially until Fauci and Collins directed an effort to publish the proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2 paper. It appears that the primary author, KG Andersen, was pressured to switch his opinion.

I posted this link almost two years ago. Still the most detailed explanation I’ve read. Seems the consensus is shifting.

The media didn't lie they just didn't know (that one dude with connections to the lab probably did lie IMO).
Being spring-loaded to a lab leak initially was a ridiculous position, since nobody knew... wanting so, so badly to believe in a conspiracy is not the same as knowing.
Since billions of viruses have vectored out of nature for billions of years, wet market is actually the Occam's Razor presumption. The real world is not a Michael Crichton novel.
I said from day one that they needed to investigate ALL possible avenues because the consequences of getting it wrong are too drastic to screw up. Political preconceptions have no place in that because that won't help prevent the next one.
I'm more inclined to the lab leak theory now based on the bug's behavior over time... it's a been a bit more tenacious over several years than one might have expected for a natural bug, which supports the GoF theory. Not conclusive, but hints at that. They still need to investigate it properly.

Saying the Media didn't lie maybe a sly ....sleight of hand. The Media, who need to investigate sources and reach out to experts absolutely did not do their job. This is a long string of pre approved "experts" putting out narrative info and the Media just accepting their word as facts There is no Journalism going on here. Lets put that "The Media didn't lie" quote to rest. So....either the Media is incompetent or they are lying. Both can be true. Especially when one wants to keep their cushy Journalism Job by not asking too many questions. And even when legitimate questions where asked and legitimate people had some push back.....guess what.....they do EXACTLY what you just stated above. They lumped that inconvenient Narrative busting information as "conspiracy theory" so those exerts would get the Alex Jones treatment even when those legitimate sources where coming form Oxford, Harvard, and Standford. Yeah....that all happened. Then it takes a Culture Icon like John Steward to say the quite part out loud so that maybe...just maybe some actual common sense gets mainstreamed. Even then....it took another what 6 months for official sources to slowly make the common sense thing more official without out right saying 100% it's true. My question is why do you believe so thoroughly that you weren't be manipulated the whole time? You now say you are coming around to the lab leak theory......are you willing to listen to those of us who probably in most likely hood were correct? Whats the definition of insanity? To be clear Alex Jones is a nut job.....and just because you throw poo at the wall and something finally sticks doesn't make you a prophet.

Even then...in May 2020....a full year before this article...many actual experts who were doing actual investigative things to find actual truth knew that this thing wasn't natural and most likely came from that lab. Now it could have been planted in Wuhan to make it look that way.....but either way it was never naturally occurring.

I'm a former biotech guy, live in a biotech hub, and still have friends. In general nobody "knew" either way that early except for a few wingnuts. I'm not a panda lover by any means, but it would be stupid to blame them incorrectly. Well it was their fault either way, but need to know for sure whether it was labs or wet markets, since the fixes are different.
Short of obvious genetic engineering hacks, which would leave frankenstein scars in the DNA, it's hard to look at the bug and spot GoF, which is essentially just guided natural evolution.

What unfolded over the last 3 yrs was an unforgivable offense. Any body who supported the blatant censorship, loss of jobs, mandates, passports deserve anything and everything that may come their way. I've got a few kids and luckily through my hard work and common sense, was able to make the last 3 yrs somewhat bearable through heading to places where the Governors weren't mentally retarded. I think we all know where these places were at. So what I have done is made sure my kids know that if they see someone with a proven useless mask on, (including some of their teachers), those people are not intelligent whatsoever and should not be listened to. I've instructed my oldest that it is ok to laugh at them also.

Clearly the Chinese don’t want a serious investigation of the Wuhan lab. And “wet markets” are ubiquitous in Asia.

What are the odds the one three blocks from the only lab in the country looking specifically at bat coronaviruses woukd be the one to have an UNrelated outbreak of a bat related Coronavirus?

According to evidential inquiries from Rand Paul, the Wuhan lab created a Covid Virus that had the excellent ability to infiltrate human cells back in 2018. I'm sure it's shocking to know that Covid 19, or the Kung Flu Virus, had the same characteristics. Rand Paul has been proven right on just about everything concerning Fauci. So this time he must be lying.
