Scheduling cannot assign you any more flying but you can still greenslip and get single pay added to your 75.01. The problem is.............you do NOT get payback days in this situation.

Heck, even I didn't know that. You're certain of this? Is it because they're technically not X-days?

But wouldn't this just be a Yellow slip? You're not flying on your days off, just your days on. You're just volunteering to fly above the reserve guarantee.

Essentially, yes it is, but you can also get it on a reserve green slip. You just won't get any payback days.

As certain as I can be. Call the union or scheduling to double check. Correct. They are STILL reserve on call days...........you just cannot be called.

In that situation you'd be better off Yellow Slipping since the end result is the same but you'd make yourself more likely to be awarded the trip.

But it would only be for straight pay and no PB day, so I don't see any benefit in doing it except if you're after some extra scratch. Or am I missing something there?

Denny's take is correct. I just checked the PWA (23U) -- No PayPack Days unless actual X-days are interrupted.

You get paid the same (straight pay above guarantee) with no pay back days -- it wouldn't make a difference financially whether you GS'ed or YS'ed.

However, you are more likely to get a YS than a GS (trips are covered using Yellow Slips -- if available -- before Green Slips. Ref 23N and O. The Coverage Ladder.)

Are you sure you can yellow slip when you are FULL on reserve? I thought you couldn't. I've gotten a GS when I was full and learned the hard way that there were no PB days.

My whole point was to be aware that you will not get the PB days or double pay if you greenslip in the situation I described. A lot of pilots are unaware of this little gem.

No, you are not missing anything. If I'm going to work 20+ days in a month, I don't want it all at straight pay....

I'm not sure. The Coverage Ladder only mentions Yellow Slips interrupting X-days, not Yellow Slips once RES FULL.
