I dont know. I've never tried...

So you said if you're on reserve they can't call you if you're full, but you can YS or GS and get that at 100% pay and no PB days. What if I'm off the last 5 days as X Days? Say I get a 5 day GS on the last 5 days of the month that were X days how am I paid and what about PB days at that point? Same as regular GS rules?

You would get 1x pay above your guarantee and since X-days were interrupted you would get PB days (which would go into a bank.) 23U1b.

I think I got it! Now what is the best way to bid this for the month to get all X days at the beginning of the month? Do you start with "prefer off" say April 1-14 "all or nothing"?

Prefer Off "LIST OF DATES." Start at the 30th and keep clicking until you get to the 15th or thereabouts.

Dont I want to front load my days off to the beginning of the month to do rolling thunder appropriately? So Prefer off list of dates starting at the 14th and go backwards? Is it important to list the dates backwards like that from the 14th to the 1st?

Here is how I did it when my category was undermanned. With 13 X days I would bid the first 9/10 days off and then the last 3/4 days off. If I didn't get something in the beginning to start the roll, at least I had a chance at the end of the month. All my 13 days off would be in a row. They just started 4 days before the month ended. That way I could take advantage of any carry over trips that popped up.

I'm no Thunder expert. But that would be correct. First half of the month off.

In 10 years I've never Rolled. But I've never been senior in my seat either.

Have you tried? That's my concern too. Very junior reserve holder, but from reading these boards sounds like the ER staffing will be problematic for the company this summer.....

I'm super junior in my category...........and in a category that's extremely short...........it works!:)
