So what happened to that $80ish per month we used to get for shared rewards tied to operational performance? I saw someone allude to management moving the goals so we could no longer reach them? Was Ed losing sleep over the pay for performance concept? I'm guessing someone on the 4th floor asked why we were giving employees that money when each $80 reward could perfectly well buy back 2 shares of stock. Not that it's much money, but it violated the new principle of Smile and Compliment your Employees While Taking Money From Their Pockets.

It used to max out at $100 per month. And yes, they moved the goal line(s), saying they wanted to make the operation even better. Apparently moving the goal lines was supposed to motivate people. Raising the reward might have been more effective.

They said we were consistently making the goals and they wanted to challenge us more. Common sense would tell you if we start reaching the new goals consistently, they will move it again. It is a carrot that we are supposed to strive for and only reach every once in awhile. An honest company would have left the payment for the old goals and created a new goal offering money on top of the old money.
I just looked. It has paid $100 every month this year except one month where it paid $75. Only a $25 loss so far.

CAL had the same system but they did it smarter. They wrote you a seperate check that went into your vfile and didn't disappear into your monthly check.
That was a smart idea on their part and it made it a big deal and it was intentional.

I saw our email from Ed and Gil, and was wondering about "My Rewards." I searched DeltaNet and am apparently not set up. Have I been getting rewards every month, or have I been losing $? Is it automatic on our paychecks? How does this work? Any help is appreciated.

There are 2 programs that may confused b/c they are relatively obscure and were meant as more of carrot for non-pilot employees and exist completely outside our governing pay document: the contract.
The not well known "Shared Rewards" and it's even lesser known cousin, My Rewards...
The Bastian/West memo referenced "Shared Rewards"...excerpt:
"...As a gesture of our appreciation for your hard work, employees will receive the full Shared Rewards payout for April, even though we didn’t meet our goals..."
Log into Deltanet and type "Shared Rewards" into the search box. You'll find enough information to make your eyes bleed. In a nutshell, SHARED REWARDS is either paid/not paid based upon 4 monthly metrics. You can look them up. If all 4 goals are met they're worth an extra $25 bucks each for a potential total of up to $100 per month. It shows up on the paycheck as "SHRD RWDS"...There is not setup required...either everyone gets some/all of it or we don't.
So even though April was a complete flustercuck due to the IROP and none of the goals were met, every eligible employee will be paid the extra $100.
My Rewards are different. Type that into the search box and you'll get another eye bleeding trip down a tunnel, into a maze, through a cornfield, and into a labyrinth. Once you pop out you'll be able to setup, nominate, and be nominated for recognition by your fellow employees. IF your nomination is approved you or the person you've recognized will receive points that can be traded for items available through the website. Anyone old enough to remember S&H greenstamps remembers it took the equivalent of several thousand dollars to purchase, for instance, a toaster or coffee mug. Different name, same idea.
Not bad, but so cumbersome and difficult it pretty much defeats it's purpose by being such.
So add it to your list of things you need to take care of when you get home and to the list of FCRs, ASAPs, etc...A wise sage once said "My rewards pays something to someone someday, but a cold beer(s) in their hand pays off right now."
Hope that helps...
