I flew through Terminal 3 at LAX yesterday - WHAT A COMPLETE DUMP! I counted one Burger King and a Starbucks with a line counting 50+ people. A vast majority of the passengers were sitting on the ground with not many seats available. No doubt most business travelers will be UNIMPRESSED.
I hope Delta starts the renovation process ASAP on that POS terminal.

Operationally it is much better. Been in and out of the north side twice and it is very efficient. Yesterday about 8 minutes from out to off. After landing you can quickly make it to your alley and gate without 5 stop and hold short clearances - much better.
Now about the terminals - yes I would say "dump" is a fairly accurate description although a few others come to mind:
rundown
antiquated
archaic
dank
retro
vintage 1970's
antique
bleary
played out
depressing
weary
tired
dark
lackluster
gloomy
dismal
forlorn
stygian
languid
glum
somber
melancholy
dull
caliginous
dusky
and finally the good old just plain worn out.
With that said however I like the fact that we now have access to a BK lounge. Terminal 5 is nice but for anyone not chased around by the paparazzi definitely a little pricey.
In the optimistic spirit of our beloved and fast approaching MOAB, I will end on a positive note - think of all the room for improvement!
