iPads?

If the thing falls off it's mount and the screen cracks, no funny business about being reimbursed or shipping "your" ipad off to wherever. Just turn it in and pickup a new one.

Stipend not the way to go. Company should give an employee the tools to do the job. It's not comparable to a flashlight or a pen.

I would always select the stipend, as I consider cellular a must have, but that's just me.

At End, the company provides the basic iPad, however, you can select the stipend if you want to buy one of the higher tier iPads. I paid $1599 for my surface pro, a perfect EFB iPad pro is only $800. The extra $400 above stipend isn't breaking the bank for what you get. That's like 2-3 hours of pay for something you're going to use for 3000hrs of flight time, and as a laptop replacement for overnights.
