I'm Angry!!!!!!!! (At Equifax)

First of all there's the whole hack data breach.................that we didn't know until how many months afterwards!?!?!

But to add onto this, I've been trying to freeze my credit with them both online and via their automated phone systems (I was able to freeze it with both the other agencies via automated phone.) and all I get is either an error message or unable to do it at this time message. Can't find a customer service number where you can actually speak to a live body without setting up an account. They've already proved they can't be trusted with this info. I don't want to give them more.......
Rant over................for now.....

Equifax did not receive permission from me to obtain and hold my personal information. And now they are responsible for handing it to thieves on the dark web.
That is why we should sue Equifax and SHUT THEM DOWN. They obtained my personal information without my permission and then did not protect it adequately from criminal syndicates. We should all be outraged!

Getting your ID stolen personally isn't a big deal, I had mine stolen a few years back. What is scary about this breach, is if these criminals obtain your child's, or sick parent, etc, IDs. Then the real headache starts.
This is what is really scary. https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity

Well, I FINALLY got thru online with Equifax and put the freeze in place. But the whole situation just irritates the **** out of me. Including the execs that sold their shares. I hope they get nailed for insider trading by the SEC. There has GOT to be an investigation...........doesn't there? And why the heck did it take so song to tell the public we are hosed? Well guess my last question kinda answers this one.....

Another challenge is that SS#s were stolen and these do not change over time. So, someone could use your SS# 10 years from now. Equifax is offering a one year monitoring deal - THEY SHOULD OFFER A FREE LIFETIME MONITORING DEAL or we should shut them down...
