Talking Trip bought for OE options

I have a 3 day with a LCA coming up and noticed that scheduling tagged it for a Capt OE for the first two days and the first leg of the third day. There are two more legs afterwards that are not covered. I know I will be on the hook still for those last two legs but can I put in a slip to swap that day for a 2 or 3 day trip instead? Without giving up the free pay for the first 2 days of course!

Not possible. Your rotation is a 3 day trip, only scheduling can break the rotation into smaller pieces. If you really like working that much then that should be an easy trip to swap for something longer .

After you are officially released and they have 23G on your schedule, I would assume yes. It would have to be a blind white slip as you will be trying to pick up a trip at 8 or 9 o’clock day prior. That’s assuming the check airman or pilot receiving OE doesn’t get sick. You could just relax and enjoy your time off. We used to have recovery flying in your situation. It was a huge abbrogation of seniority.

Yes once they drop the portion of your rotation that is used for OE. They do that the night before so you are forced to submit a blind WS or GS and hope something comes up because by the time they release you they have covered all the known open time for the next day.

Or you could pick up a 1 day trip on day 2, if any happen to be in open time.

I have the same thing. 4 day trip worth 22.47. They are dropping the first two days but I need to deadhead out to meet the trip on day two for an early flight day 3 . After released can I swap the remainder of my trip with the pot into an easy 5 day trip that reports two days later worth 26.19? Also I assume I would bydropping 15.75 of credit (day 2,3,4) for 26.19. Reserve coverage is good as of now.

I'm not sure how your situation is any different than the OP's. You can't break up your rotation. Period.

...or just enjoy the paid time off at home. Don’t make it so complicated. 😁

You can swap the entire trip but whoever picks it up gets the paid time off. You can’t swap just a portion of the trip.
