They will not be more frequent. They will be what we normally have. 6 per year give or take 1.

I’m sure you are correct, but I would like to see the actual number of AEs for the last 10 years.

Funny you should say that. I posted the AE’s for the last 5 years on here just a few weeks ago.

Ok, your right, the Aug bid was not planned primarily to fill Cseries training slots and the Dec bid was not primarily to fill A350 slots that were planned for Feb.

the aug bid was planned to be c series, 350, and NB positions...it was delayed to october, then delayed until december. same bid planned just with c series removed. it wasn't some magical bid they added.

This is correct.

We've averaged about 4 bids a year in my 11 years here, as well. He keeps doubling down, though.

With them pushing this bid back, we'll be lucky to see 4 again this year.

Well, someone is putting out false information or lying based on the 2017 information alone. I replied when you originally posted those 5 year AE numbers that those numbers were highly suspect based on my memory which indicates AE frequencies more in line with what 80kts remembers. Three or 4/ year is more accurate with a couple years having more primarily for base/fleet closures and draw downs.

I'll be really surprised if we see 6 true AEs in 2018. I'm not talking about the MD-88 displacement bids with a couple of AEs mixed in, I'm taking pure AEs.
