Somehow, I got sent one. It's pretty much what you'd expect an IPAD to be and if you already knew apple IOS, the learning curve will be very shallow, much more in common than different.
Heres a hint: With the new Jepp FD-Pro upgrade on the surface, you get to see exactly what the IPAD wil be, pretty much exactly the same except works very fast, way less "glitches" that I have noticed. GPS works, and ATT Cell service for when not in wifi areas. It works great and switches between plates without any delay, follows along your flight patch, brings up notes along your route that are pertinent, like FIR boundaries and terrain boxes. Taxi chart automatically comes up on landing and ships position displays on chart to follow along with your taxi, what a boon to ground SA! The biggest changes is a pretty different layout of the content locker, but supposedly a new content locker is in the works to be even better in the near future, but probably after the IPAD rollout according to the training. IPAD will be unlocked too, so you can put your personal Apps on the IPAD and use it as your sole device. My prediction: Pilots are going to love it, even the complainers! |

Has anyone heard how the ATT data is going to work? Are we going to have a limited amount of GBs to use each month? I can’t imagine they’re just going to let us go hog wild with unlimited data usage.

Technically, the learning curve will be very steep. Shallow means a low rate of learning
The familiar expression "a steep learning curve" is intended to mean that the activity is difficult to learn, although a learning curve with a steep start actually represents rapid progress.[5][6] So what I meant is really will be easy for most to rapidly adapt to the much improved EFB. |

You know that was my first inclination but the inter webs says:

I may have politely responded to my rejection email informing them that I'm in my 20's and have used iPhones/iPads for 6+ years now, in case they need any additional assistance...😂

Very nice you made the 125! Does the iPad have the Jepp FliteDeck Pro version that shows the Notam'ed out taxiways and rwys on the 10-9?

If you know an airport with a notam’d out runway, I’d be glad to look for you. The only noticeable difference so far has been the “own ship” functionality, and improved speed.
