Just looked, and no.

Did you load a flight plan with any of those airfields as the destination? Something that is current and within 1 hour of departure? It would be overkill to modify every chart on every device, but it would make sense to incorporate NOTAMs if you are auto loading a flight plan.

.

So far the iPad Pro with 256GB of onboard storage (!) seems incredibly snappy compared with Surface. 2 quick benchmarks—

JEPP FD PRO 9 boot time from cold start on Surface - 41 secs

JEPP FD PRO 9 boot time from cold start on iPad Pro - 3 secs

Entire FOM search for word “malodorous” Surface - 157 secs

Entire FOM search for word “malodorous” iPad Pro - 1 sec

Functionality of Jepp FD Pro on iPad seems the same as the newly updated v9 on Surface except ownship position is activated.

Thickness of iPad in its Pivot case is 23mm compared to 45mm for Surface. I don’t have a small scale, but Surface is MUCH heavier.

I had not done that, but I just did and it’s a no. That was a good suggestion, however.

I actually had to do that search two weeks ago. Sadly.

My goodness.

This is like going from a 1999 Dodge Durango to a 2018 Tesla P100D+

The Durango was malodorous

If you know an airport with a notam’d out runway, I’d be glad to look for you. The only noticeable difference so far has been the “own ship” functionality, and improved speed.

Apparently Airport Moving Maps has to be enabled. Looks like this:

Combine that with ship position & taxiing is about to get so much safer.

I must be missing some setting, I have moving maps enabled and mine didn’t look like that.
