My example was moving backwards. It has happened to me twice in the last 5 years so I do give them some credit.

The two times you’ve moved back there were more than likely two who moved forward early too. Net benefit 0 to the company. I believe that was Sailings point.

And my point is that just because the PWA says training complete after the 16th, doesn't necessarily mean you get converted the next month. That's all. Again, experience.

If you have moved down twice to lower pay in the last five years I would bid differently. I got what you said. They have to convert in seniority order among the groups being trained.

They do convert in seniority order but if they convert the senior guy earlier (rather than the following bid period), then they can convert more of the junior ones, right? Crazy concept for you, I know.

While the MEC had some valid points (company offering SILs due to "overstaffing" but still won't offer an extra reserve X-day for PBS bidding) this has been a stupid issue to try to get the masses agitated about, all to create some artificial faux street toughness that only seems to matter to the FB and Sh!t Chat crowd.
