Once you have Admin rights (most will after sync even though it does not show it) Then Delta hits a button or something and it restarts and automatically loads windows 10 operating system. I did this yesterday over a conference call as a small test group. Everything worked just fine. After it finishes reloading windows operating system it is a brand new clean drive. Works great, hopefully lasts long time.

As usual Delta technology cannot figure out the proper procedures to transfer administrator rights for purchased Surface 3 from Delta to new owner. Has anyone been successful yet?

After performing the steps and sync, which took about 15 minutes, my Surface showed the sync as successful but did NOT show that I now had Admin rights.
An email from Delta suggested my Surface probably does now have admin rights even though it is not showing on the tablet profile. The email also said that the reset instructions will now be sent on Monday the 16th "Due to the upcoming weekend". Huh? Because it's Friday the 13th?? Whaaa? They didn't know that a weekend usually follows a Friday? Amatures. |
Is anyone at all surprised by this?

Does this give the owner full admin rights and the ‘correct’ version of windows? Put another way... do we get the same or better result as we would doing it the DL way?
The machine is like you walked out of bestbuy with it. Less garbage ware on it though. You aren’t the administrator, you are the king. |

You formatted the hard drive and installed a vanilla copy of Windows.

Ok, well the reset did work today as advertised. They said they would send the reset command at 1pm but they actually sent it about 12:45, so be ready early!

Consider yourself lucky! LOL I used to build PC's and had my own business building them and my son is a software/coding genius. I followed their instructions to the letter and as others also experienced, it didn't show ADMIN Privileges. Even though they assured we had admin privileges, I knew I did not as it's very easy to determine if you do. I followed the instructions to the letter today again and it did not work. I can reset it in a heartbeat if they can give me the BitLocker Recovery Key but alas, they don't have a clue what I'm asking for. They gave me a UUID format code which in no way is a recovery key. LOL They directed me to the CPO for further help. Oh well.

Give them a break, they’ve been busy with barn-raisings lately.
