Surface 3 Administrator Rights

As usual Delta technology cannot figure out the proper procedures to transfer administrator rights for purchased Surface 3 from Delta to new owner. Has anyone been successful yet?

I *just* submitted the form and it sounds like it takes a day or two to send the instructions on how to "De-Delta-ize" the surface? Is that correct? I haven't started the processes yet (except for submitting the form) but what issues are you having?

Just use it for target practice....

Daughter needed surface 3 for post grad school, so she bought it.
Maybe she will use for target practice later or cutting board🔪

From Delta IT....“A quick note to let you know that we experienced connectivity issues with Airwatch which is preventing the Sync command to fully execute, this has been resolved. Please try again

At this point, please complete the “Administrator Rights” steps, we will send you the steps to reset tablet on 07/13/18”

Sync command still not working which transfer administrative rights.

surface

Talked with person in charge of resting the surface. He said that most do have admin rights even though it does not show it. He also said that the server is not equipped to receive 1000 sync queries at once, which is what happened. If you continue to have problems, email the person that sent out the emails, they may set up a conference call to walk people through the process. But wait until the rest of the instructions are emailed on the 13th.

Well that's typical of the S3...very poor feedback what it's doing.

I've had several emails with them too. The last one yesterday acknowledged issues and and said to try again. I've done multiple syncs all day while working on my bid. No luck getting it to show amin rights.

Just skip the stupid...if you want to install Windows from scratch, which will totally mitigate any Delta clutter.

1) go to Microsoft and download the Windows 10 ISO and USB install tool. Google them.

2) Install the ISO to a clean USB drive, 8 GB min.

3) Shut down the Surface. Insert the USB drive, then power on while holding the volume down button.

4) Will boot from the USB. Format the hard drive and install.

Does this give the owner full admin rights and the ‘correct’ version of windows? Put another way... do we get the same or better result as we would doing it the DL way?
