You might be correct. But... there are some here that might not view what we do as a 'job'. Tiger Woods probably doesn't view golf as a job, but it is how he pays the bills. But I am sure there are others that certainly do.

That is one reason many retired pilots pursue post retirement employment. Some pilots who are financially able to leave Delta don't have a purpose in life outside of Delta. Some have a big part of our identity wrapped up in being an airline pilot. It can be difficult to set that aside. Not everyone working to 65 does so purely for financial reasons. Even when we are financially able to leave Delta before 65, the contingency planner inside of each of us says we should pad the nest egg just a little more.

I don't harvest the stuff. I get enjoyment just watching them and appreciate what they do. Amazing little creatures.

I must of had 10,000 to 20,000 in and around my house in Central America. I sort of became friends with them by association. They actually make different sounds when they are just talking and when they are PO'd. Good to know. Had to clear them out of the roof and walls though, seven gallons of honey. If they are not in the States anymore, I know where they are.
