I go back and forth about how long I think negotiations will take. With AA and UAL in or soon to be in negotiations, I think that will only help us. As someone mentioned earlier, maybe it will drive management to come to a deal first in hopes of avoiding the pattern up bargaining that will take place if AA and UAL come to a deal first.

Then again, maybe not!

I think I'll try a contradictory approach from now on and whisper "scope" and "retirement". It makes it sound like a secret.

* please do not confuse the whipser of scope and retirment as "whispers from Top Men" regarding improvements to either.

It's just easier to emphasize SCOPE, PAY, QOL, HEALTH and RETIREMENT with caps lock rather than

SCOPE, PAY, QOL, HEALTH and RETIREMENT

It seemed to start with 2012 negotiations but really came on with 2015.

And yes, I'm shouting SCOPE from the keyboard.

I'll add Comfort Plus for all domestic DH's.

If the ocean crossers get Delta One, why can't we domestic dogs get C+?

I think if it’s a DH followed by flying within a single FDP, the DH seat should be in First Class/Delta One. If I’m not flying afterwards, as long as they keep me out of a middle seat in the back I’m mostly content.

Agreed. And the fact that we can deadhead from like BOS-LAX in a middle seat in economy when that's longer than some "ocean crossings" is a little strange. It should be based on the length of the flight, not whether the aircraft is flying over solid ground or water.
