They have to pay for anything changed though right?

I’m not aware of any provision in the contract that would require them to pay for any of it. Maybe we could try to twist 5 D.4. to apply, but that might be a stretch.

They looked good young men with 32 inch waists. Like the the Village People. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's the guys wearing 44 waist 28 inseam that make that uniform look like a super tanker in the Panama canal.

Orange flightsuits and no hat.

No one will ever "call you out" for that, especially since the safety vest fits over it anyway.

The LCA who signed me off on my MD-88A OE asked me to meet him in the hotel lobby to "go over some FOM stuff" during our layover. He spent 10 minutes out of our two hour FOM review telling me not to let the FO's wear a non approved jacket during walk arounds (even if it is raining).

These people actually exist.

Might be like the one today who yelled at me for no jacket. I'm on a trip to a warm place specifically exempted in the FOM from mandatory jacket season.

Shrink that page to pamphlet sized and hand one out to whoever comments on it :D

A tactical "duly noted" would be warranted for that, obvsly.

In my experience, it applies to every corner of humanity.
