Gambled on the MD only bid and now I'm gonna be the plug +1. Doh!

Glad not to have to go to training though.

Also, ATL 320B is overstaffed. The only way anyone was getting into that category on this bid was via MD, and the only guys getting MD'd out of ATL M88B were very junior who can't even be the plug.

There were five M88 guys who MD'd into ATL 320B--all of them ATL M88 captains.
Excellent analysis, thank you. Not what I was expecting.

How does CR spin that one? I'm not going to be the one to ask on Skynet.
What is there to spin? They awarded more than expected, sounds like a win to me.

Anyone else a little amazed that there were 18 bypasses for bids to ATL777 AND 18 bypasses for DTW340?!? 36 captains knocking down top line pay from the company while staying put. I have neither the time nor inclination to try and track down the aggregate number of months and years the company will spend to pay them without training them, but it is interesting.

By comparison, there were a total of 9 bypasses in the entire rest of the award, meaning 4 bypasses to 350/777 captain for every 1 bypass to any other category.

I slid into that SEA 330B and happy I did! Love the "Bid want you want, want what you bid" advice. Living in base grabbing that slot is great. Reserve from home!

No displacement, and looks like I didn't move up or down relatively.

Could have held NYC7ERA, too.
I thought you were hired in the 14-15 timeframe? The results I saw had the NYC ER A at just shy of 9,000.

No spin. Contractual min staffing formula as a minimum number and if they want to add a few, well, that's up to them

He was one of the first 2007 hires just as Delta began hiring again
