1.289 billion includes the benefit costs associated with PS. Most of the difference from 1.1 is pilot DC plan costs. For comparison last year was 978 million after the 3rd quarter including benefits. When you try to compare you have to know which source Delta is quoting. They omit the benefits part often because including it looks bad to non pilot employees.
