And teachers should make more than they do.

Maybe you SHOULD whine about having to pay for your uniform. That’s the first step in getting you uniform paid for.

Same thing for crew meals, pay, retirement and everything else.

It’s contract time. Which means it’s time for us to look at what the other employee groups and other pilots have and ask for what we want.

I agree with him. If the company can afford to make such a mistake with the flight attendants uniforms, certainly the can afford to pay us something for ours.

I smell what you’re stepping in but...you’re coming off as a spoiled child.

You beat me to it. There’s a way to professionally make a sound case for needed change; whining about it isn’t one of those ways.

How would you go about doing it then? Please, be specific.

If the Co. pays for the uniforms, Lord knows what they would look like. Sleeping dog.

Pretty sure thing that if you don’t ask for it.....you won’t get it.

I sure hope we are asking for uniform allowances in the next contract. We lost all of our deductions, so everything that can be provided now (like maximum allowable per diem) should be.

We have a negotiating committee. We have a process to raise motions for specific ideas for the MEC to consider.

Please explain, specifically, how whining like a petulant child will force a multi billion dollar company to acquiesce to said whining.

What you are calling "....whining like a petulant child," is actually one pilot noting something that another employee group has that he would like as well, and then another pilot agreeing, and then another, and then another......

Here on APC. A place where ideas are exchanged and spread.

Sort of like what happened when TA15 came out and here, on APC, pilots noted what we didn't like about it in comparison to other employee groups and other pilot groups.

And where subsequently, TA Facts was posted and one pilot on here noted what he didn't like, and then another, and then another, until it spread throughout the pilot group. TA15 was voted down and your multi-billion dollar company had to acquiesce to what you call whining.

Here, click on the link for the example:

TAFACTS.COM (Please, send to your friends.)

Is that specific enough for you?
