We are always trying to make things longer.

See 737 and 320 for details.

Oh and whatever else you can think of.

Some people build things. Former boy scouts and self starters. Other people don't own a screwdriver. I'd like to think the vast majority of our "type" sees a problem as a challenge that needs a solution; and we set forth in fixing it. But like I said. Some people don't own a screwdriver.

There's nothing more pilot than complaining about the best way to complain. It barely beats out complaining that they weren't adequately trained then complain that there is too much training, in this case how to operate a stupid lanyard.

Here is my favorite so far: "why isn't there writing on BOTH sides?!" Why? So your shirt can also see your protest.

Y’all have the Lanyard Police too?
Being taken aside and your loyalty questioned?

Instructors just got an email telling them they are “management” pilots and not to wear the lanyard.

That makes me enjoy wearing it all the more!

I don't wear lanyards or anything around my neck, (yes, clip on tie) is connecting it to my bag acceptable? I know, I'm the unity problem... blah, blah. Yes or no opinions please. I don't need a lecture, I've been on strike, we ain't there yet.

Not because I don’t believe in showing unity, but because the stupid thing doesn’t want to be around my neck. Given the slightest tug, be it deliberate or inadvertent, the “latch” (that tiny pitiful raised dot of plastic that holds the whole damn thing together) comes undone and the lanyard falls to the ground.

Dang ALPA, use your millions to give us something that works.
How about instead of complaining about ALPA, you just put 4 cents worth of duct tape around the clasp and problems solved?

Nothing in this world is certain. The closest I can come to being certain, is that the same people whining/complaining about the lanyard, have railed against various groups of people, calling them "snowflakes".

I should add that 320 fleet received this message.

the irony about the email to the 320 fleet is the FOM, even as screen shotted in the email, states at the top that the lanyard policy only applies in uniform.
