And for the record, I think the lanyard is terrible but I'm still wearing the effing thing.
The macho "F your feelings, snowflake" crowd, are the likely ones complaining IMO.

Let be clear about what group is complaining. Pilots. Pilots are complaining. Our capacity to complain knows no boundaries.

I've reminded the 320 guy that put it out to the instructors about the lanyard that his FOM guidance quote is invalid, as you aren't in uniform when teaching. He said he had to push the message via the higher ups. These things get noticed, and they are clearly scared.

That being said, it's been good the rapid increase in lanyards I see out on the line!

Exactly. The fact they put out an email about it means they notice - and care. I hate the thing, but I’ll wear it.

I received it. I'm not going to wear it until it's clear where our union stands on retirement. Right now it looks like the union is trying to put some of my money into someone else's name like a pension or annuity. I am 100 percent against this and I refuse to fight until it's clear what I'm fighting for. I'm not going to blindly follow our union. I could care less whether you guys wear it or not. We are not unified right now and the company knows it.

IF they thought that, it would due to statements like this. Be a one issue voter, I don’t care, but don’t fail to stand in solidarity. Divided we will fail.

That makes me enjoy wearing it all the more!

They should inform C48 that the pilots they represent are all management. I guess all SLI and APDs will be getting MIP instead of profit sharing.

These lanyards must have a greater effect than the detractors on the forum want us to believe.

That said the clasp and length sucks. Bag tags would be nice too.

Two parties are at this negotiation, by not backing the union you are supporting the other side. How much retirement or QOL items you think they’re going to bring to the table. If I recall they took more than they needed when courts inhibited normal negotiation.

But I’m sure everyone will stop and ask you why you’re “protesting” or just assume you work for management and double check they have the hat within reach.
