Show me in my documents where it says I'm supposed to police FA uniforms or even know what an acceptable uniform is and I'll gladly admit I'm wrong.

Multiple people have cited examples. You interpret it differently than many, clearly. Is everything spelled out specifically word for word in the fom? No. Can things be implied? Yes. Can they be interpreted differently? Yes. You act as if everything is absolute. If you've been at Delta any length of time youd know that isnt the case.

You're dealing in absolutes. Theres a lot of gray area here.

Soon we won't be ashamed of our bodies and everyone will respect each other as nature made us. Naturism will be normal everywhere on or off the clock.

Wings/name tags will still be required though. Instead of pins they’ll stay on with a clamp.

I've seen pilots on transoceanic flights come out of the cockpit wearing sweat pants...who cares...not my job to police what anyone else is wearing unless i'm the lead flight attendant and in that case if it's concerning another FA I say something if it's egregious.
Good points. I agree with your point about pilots "garb" on intl flights and that it is the pursurs job to police the F/As

I'm trying to think about anything I care about as much as you care about Captains caring about FA uniform wear.

We all need a hobby

Spot on. My last point.....I agree that pilots should normally not get involved with policing FAs uniform pieces, better left to the Lead/pursor. However, the Capt had the authority to get involved if he feels its important to the safe operation of the flight. And per the FOM, he can get involved even without any safety concerns, just because he is the Captain. Of course the "expanded team" is probably going to persuade him otherwise. As the OP, I started this thread because I find it almost laughable how the issues that some have with the purple dress have exploded into literally thousands of male and female FA's wearing the "black". Personally, I would never get involved with an FA uniform issue, unless the pursor asked or it was somehow a safety issue
