I agree with what you're saying. Another angle: I know a guy that was sent home from the Air Force Academy. But they kept the seniors on campus to finish out the year. The reason the Air Force Academy had graduation a month early this year is because a couple of the senior cadets they kept on campus committed suicide. What was the reason? I don't know. But, it's very atypical for even one suicide out of all the classes. Maybe it was related to stay in place order or covid in general. I don't know.

I'm prone to support stay in place to reduce the amount of death from covid, but I'm increasingly cognizant of the potential negative unintended consequences of doing that. There must be a balance somewhere.

Absolutely we should have stayed open for business. Many lives are and will be in lingering ruin for years to come. Not to mention the power grab/money grabbing precedent that will come as a result of this self induced mess. The way the shutdown has been implemented is a joke. Pathetic. By all means stay home and hide. I’ll be out and about without a mask as I have been day one.

Just think of the number of traffic fatalities we could avoid if we banned all vehicles from our roadways!! Are you OK with all of their deaths? Think of their loved ones who could be saved!! Are you willing to tell the grieving families that have lost someone to a traffic fatality that them losing a family member is worth it to you so you can drive your car???

I hate to try and get things back on topic, but does anyone know what percent of pilots accepted recall from previous furloughs?
